This position will be based in our Washington, D.C. office (on-site). The shift for this role will be Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Junior Technology Support Analyst provides technology support to the local office for areas including software, hardware, infrastructure, network services, mobile and remote services, audio visual, telephone and security systems. They provide a high level of customer service, accurate reporting, and work with other local technology professionals as well as the Firm's central resources in White Plains. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.\nProvides a consistent and high level of customer service.\nAssembles, installs, configures, tests, images, troubleshoots and repairs hardware and peripherals, including but not limited to computers, printers, scanners, fax machines and mobile devices.\nResponds to local and central telephone helpline, support tickets and e-mails (provides information, assesses problems and offers assistance).\nLogs all calls into the Firm's call logging systems and resolves or escalates as appropriate.\nProvides application support for both local installations and Citrix based applications.\nProvides support, troubleshooting and repair for laptops and desktops.\nProvides mobile device support, set up configuration, support and end user training.\nAssists with the Firm's audio visual set up requirements.\nAssists with hardware set ups in offices and conference rooms.\nHelps to maintain Firm's policies and procedures in relation to computer technology.\nEnsures the security of the Firm's systems by understanding the risks and ensuring best practices are followed.\nRegular and reliable physical presence to address in-office technical issues and provide hands-on support to office personnel.\nEstablishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, attorneys and business services professionals.\nPerforms frequent physical exertion including: walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive use of both hands, lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.\nDemonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.\nManages Firm resources responsibly.\nComplies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nAbility to administer Firm policies and procedures with regard to ordering and configuring hardware\nThorough working knowledge of computer, printer and scanner hardware\nAbility to exert moderate to high physical effort\nKnowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems\nDemonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing\nDemonstrates close attention to detail\nAbility to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities\nAbility to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality\nAbility to organize and prioritize work\nAbility to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment\nAbility to work well independently as well as effectively within a team\nFlexibility to travel\nFlexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nMinimum of one year of related experience\nCulture & Life at Skadden\nWhat makes Skadden special is our people and the culture, community and spirit of collaboration we have created.
