We are shaping the future of work itself.\nROLE SUMMARY\nThe Lead DevOps Engineer designs, builds, and maintains the CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and infrastructure automation that power Skan's customer delivery operations. Working within the Customer Ops team, this role is the engineering engine behind deployment velocity - ensuring that customer environments are provisioned, upgraded, and maintained reliably, securely, and at pace.\nThis role sits at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure operations. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for making deployment a repeatable, automated, and quality-assured activity - eliminating manual overhead, enforcing DevSecOps standards, and giving the wider Customer Ops and Systems Engineering teams the tooling they need to operate efficiently at scale.\nWHY THIS ROLE EXISTS\nAs Skan's enterprise customer base grows, so does the complexity of managing deployments across cloud-hosted, customer-hosted, and hybrid environments. Without dedicated DevOps engineering, deployment activities are manual, inconsistent, and slow - creating delivery risk, increasing the chance of environment-related incidents, and preventing the Customer Ops team from scaling without linear headcount growth.\nThe DevOps Engineer provides the automation and tooling layer that makes Skan's customer delivery operations scalable, auditable, and professionally run - directly supporting SLA commitments, deployment quality, and time-to-value for enterprise clients.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for customer environment deployments, upgrades, and patch cycles - covering cloud-hosted and customer-hosted models\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)\nImplement and enforce DevSecOps practices across all product and client deployment pipelines - including security scanning, secrets management, and policy-as-code controls\nDevelop and maintain deployment tooling, scripts, and environment templates that reduce manual effort and improve deployment consistency\nSupport Systems Engineers during new customer environment builds, patch cycles, and major upgrades - providing tooling, automation, and hands-on assistance\nBuild and maintain ops process tooling: SLA tracking dashboards, deployment status portals, environment health monitors, and internal reporting utilities\nMaintain deployment metrics and reporting - pipeline success rate, deployment frequency, lead time, and change failure rate - to inform continuous improvement\nIdentify and remediate deployment bottlenecks, pipeline failures, and infrastructure configuration drift across customer environments\nCollaborate with the SRE team to align infrastructure design with operational monitoring and incident response requirements\nParticipate in change management processes - ensuring all production environment changes are logged, reviewed, and reversible\nContribute to the Automation Engineering team's agentic workflow initiatives - developing automation that further reduces operational toil\nMaintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all pipelines, playbooks, and environment configurations\nKEY DELIVERABLES\nCI/CD pipeline designs and live implementations for all customer deployment models - cloud, on-prem, and hybrid\nInfrastructure-as-Code templates and reusable deployment playbooks - maintained, versioned, and documented\nDevSecOps controls documentation and compliance evidence for all customer-facing pipelines\nAutomated environment provisioning and teardown scripts - reducing manual setup time per new customer deployment\nDeployment metrics dashboard: pipeline success rate, deployment frequency, lead time, and change failure rate - reported monthly\nOps tooling: SLA trackers, status portals, and environment health dashboards operational and actively used by Customer Ops teams\nTarget: pipeline success rate ≥ 95%; zero unplanned production outages attributable to deployment tooling failures\nKEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\nCI/CD platforms: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps - pipeline design, implementation, and maintenance at enterprise scale\nInfrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, Ansible - provisioning, configuration management, and drift detection\nContainer platforms: Docker and Kubernetes - build, deployment, and runtime management in production environments\nDevSecOps: security scanning (SAST/DAST), secrets management (HashiCorp Vault or equivalent), policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel)\nCloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP - provisioning, networking, IAM, and cost-aware infrastructure management\nScripting and automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell - automating deployment workflows and operational tasks\nMonitoring integration: ability to instrument pipelines with observability hooks compatible with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent\nChange management: familiarity with ITSM processes and structured change control in enterprise environments\nCollaboration skills: able to work effectively with Systems Engineers, SRE, and customer-facing teams in a fast-moving environment\nDocumentation: clear, maintainable runbooks and pipeline documentation - written for both technical peers and operational teams\nThis is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, with an expectation to work from the office three days a week.\nSkan AI is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace around the world.
