Skanska is a Swedish construction and project development group headquartered in Stockholm, building offices, homes, infrastructure and public facilities and developing commercial and residential property. Founded in 1887 as a concrete products maker and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, it operates in the Nordic countries, other European markets such as the UK, Poland and the Czech Republic, and the United States. The openings on this record are mainly in its UK business, covering civil and section engineers, quantity surveyors, construction and project managers, facilities technicians for building services contracts and staff for HS2 and the A47 road scheme.

At Skanska, we’re shaping the way we live, work and connect. As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.

You will be working in the Technology and Sustainability OU on our Lower Thames Crossing project, based in Thurrock, where we harness digital transformation and innovation to meet ambitious climate goals and deliver sustainable solutions for our customers.

The Lower Thames crossing is the UK’s most significant road infrastructure project in a generation. Skanska is the delivery partner for the ‘Kent Roads’ portion of the project, which connects the southern part of the A2/M2 route to the tunnel approach. It includes the construction of Europe’s widest green bridge, 6km of new road and structures a new public park and 12 miles of new and improved pathways for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

  • Identify key environmental risk, opportunities and KPIs.
  • Provide advice and guidance on legal consents, licences and exemptions, while identifying sustainability innovations, cost-saving opportunities and best-practice initiatives.

  • Analytical skills with attention to detail to identify environmental risks and mitigation measures.
