From civil works to water treatment facilities, this programme strengthens environmental protection across the East of England - safeguarding water resources for generations to come.\nWe are currently looking for an Civil Design Engineer who will develop compliant, safe and sustainable solutions for potable water and wastewater projects, supporting design from feasibility to detailed design in a collaborative Design and Build environment.\nAs the Civil Design Engineer, you will:\nExperience in the water sector and in delivering capital projects would be advantageous.\nA BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering (minimum 2:1) from a recognised university is preferred, though not essential.\nGood knowledge and practical experience of design calculations for infrastructure projects, including pipe design and bedding, thrust blocks, manholes, shaft tanks and buried attenuation structures, using British Standards, Eurocodes and other recognised guidance such as CIRIA and BRE.\nExperience of working in a Design and Build environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.\nProgress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution, such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng MICE), would be desirable. \nWe are looking for:\nExperience delivering projects or coordinating complex activities to achieve planned outcomes.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and honest approach.\nProactive, accountable, and driven to improve performance.\nConfident using IT systems and open to adopting new technology.\nResilient, adaptable, and willing to travel across the region; construction sector experience is a plus.\nWhat we offer:\n* 24/7 digital GP service for you and your family\n* Financial wellbeing and employee assistance\n* Professional development\n* Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave)\nInclusion and Diversity\nWe thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
