As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.\nYou will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects - 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.\nWe are currently looking for an Engineer (MEP) who will:\nAs the Engineer (MEP), you will:\nProactively engage on Health, Safety, and Environmental matters. Ensuring that the works are planned and executed in accordance with SCS and Statutory requirements\nEnsure that all works under your control have identified and managed quality risks, including the completion and recording of installation and commissioning inspections\nReviewing permanent works design and ensuring appropriate input from the construction team during the design\nDevelop the subcontract design and construction methodology. Prepare for the delivery of the works, including resources, procurement, consents, and prestart documentation\nUnderstand the form of Contract and develop detailed site specific programmes, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the Project Manager and QS department\nWe are looking for:\nExperience of the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover\nA professional qualification or degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subject\nKnowledge of construction techniques, sequencing, and best practice\nKnowledge and understanding of working to and implementing NEC construction contracts\nCapable of working independently and proactively to progress works but also skilled at working collaboratively with other integrated team members and external stakeholders for the overall benefit of the project\nComputer competence (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Document Control Systems, Auto CAD)\nExcellent communication skills and ability to adjust communication style to suite receiver\nRelevant CSCS Card\nSMSTS/SSSTS\nWhat we offer:\n24/7 digital GP service for you and your family\nFinancial wellbeing and employee assistance\nProfessional development\nEnhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave)\nInclusion and Diversity\nWe thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
