You will lead the development of the team, facilitate succession planning and career development opportunities, ensure contract compliance, and oversee the effective delivery of FM services.Create growth by realising available opportunities including lifecycle and capital works, and support other work-winning activities when required\nWe are currently looking for a General Manager who will\nAs the General Manager, you will:\nFull operational profit accountability for the contract.\nResponsible for the delivery of Hard FM services at the site, including Projects and Lifecycle.\nLead and develop the Operations team direct reports, and work with the Project Director to provide resilience and second line of leadership support to the Performance and Compliance and Capital Works teams.\nTake responsibility for all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management. Participate in developing, maintaining, and executing a Health, Safety, Environment and sustainability project action plan. \nUnderstand the contract operationally and commercially and set commensurate targets. \nAccurately report progress each month, including key activities linked to compliance and H&S. To take a proactive approach to prevent losses and maximise profitability.\nTake a highly visible lead in developing relationships with the Client and Customer, driving collaboration across the team and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.\nEffectively manage resources to achieve project timescales and budget.\nDevelop and maintain effective, efficient and cohesive project teams with a shared sense of purpose, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.\nLead and inspire the contract team ensuring all employees have a current review and learning plan, that succession plans are in place, and that the team is positively engaged.\nEnsure that management by information is practised, that effective performance review structures are in place and that measurement and review drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance.\nWe are looking for:\nTrack record of success in delivering complex major projects, and long-term service delivery - within Hard and Soft Facilities Management \nA strong leader, operationally, commercially and financially astute, with the ability to provide positive leadership and clear direction to a wide-ranging team.\nKnowledge and experience of the commercial and legal structure - ideally PFI / PPP Framework.\nExperience of successful working in or with the public sector. \nAn experienced operations professional with at least 3 years' experience at a senior level managing contracts and service delivery.\nEducated to Degree level (or equivalent)\nLikely to hold a further professional qualification to fellowship level\nLikely to have experience of the Defence Sector\nHolding, having previously held, or able to hold SC security status (initially), and Developed Vetting (subsequently). \nWhat we offer:\n24/7 digital GP service for you and your family \nFinancial wellbeing and employee assistance \nProfessional development \nEnhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity,dependants and parental bereavement leave) \nInclusion and Diversity\nWe thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
