In this important role, you will support the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring operational performance meets contract requirements and Skanska’s business standards. You will help maintain safe, compliant, and well-managed sites, while contributing to a positive customer experience and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the project.\nAs the Premises Assistant, you will:\nDeliver high-quality services across the school sites.\nSupport the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance in line with the contract PPM plan, SLAs, KPIs, and management direction.\nWork closely with Lead Engineers to ensure reactive and planned maintenance tasks are completed on time.\nTake part in the on-call rota and provide cover for absences when required.\nEnsure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and health and safety requirements, including safe systems of work.\nOversee stock and materials to maintain budgets while ensuring parts are available to support service delivery.\nHelp ensure the site has the labour and materials needed to meet contractual obligations.\nWe are looking for:\nExperience delivering facilities management services in a customer-focused environment; good general maintenance and repair skills across a range of site tasks.\nExperience using building maintenance systems and supporting day-to-day site operations.\nWell organised, flexible, and able to manage a varied workload.\nPhysically capable of carrying out manual and demanding tasks safely and effectively.\nWilling and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.\nGood working knowledge of health and safety legislation and COSHH requirements.\nIOSH Managing Safely qualification, or willingness to work towards it.\nAbility to obtain Enhanced DBS.\nWhat we offer:\n24/7 digital GP service for you and your family \nFinancial wellbeing and employee assistance \nProfessional development \nEnhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave) \nInclusion and Diversity\nWe thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
