The role focuses on delivering services within budget, achieving high customer satisfaction, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for customers, end users, and stakeholders.\nThe Premises Manager will lead and oversee a team of Premises Assistants, managing services such as security, porterage, cleaning, and general site supervision. The role also involves monitoring planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring SLA and KPI compliance, managing authority damage effectively, and maintaining sites and equipment to a consistently high standard.\nThis role operates on a shift-based rota, with working hours covering starts from 6:00am and finishes up to 7:00pm, together with participation in an on-call rota. A full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS clearance are essential for this position.\nAs the Premises Assistant, you will:\nLead and manage the Premises Assistants to deliver high-quality site support services across the school.\nCoordinate with Lead Engineers to ensure reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works are completed within required timescales.\nEnsure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and Health & Safety requirements, including safe systems of work.\nOversee maintenance delivery to make sure all planned and reactive works meet contract requirements, SLAs, KPIs, and management expectations.\nMaintain effective site resourcing, ensuring sufficient labour, materials, and operational cover, including participation in the on-call rota.\nSupport team performance and standards through development, annual PDRs, performance management, and monitoring cleanliness, site condition, and reporting of defects or authority damage.\nWe are looking for:\nProven experience in Facilities Management service delivery, ideally within a busy operational environment.\nGood working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH, with a strong commitment to safe working practices.\nIOSH Managing Safely qualification, or equivalent, preferred.\nExperience of building maintenance systems and coordinating maintenance activities effectively.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently in writing and verbally with employees, customers, and clients at all levels.\nWell-organised and delivery-focused, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload, manage works to time and budget, and ideally with knowledge of Concept CAFM systems.\nWhat we offer:\n24/7 digital GP service for you and your family \nFinancial wellbeing and employee assistance \nProfessional development \nEnhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave) \nInclusion and Diversity\nWe thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
