They promote SKF know-how and value proposition in line with corporate and sales strategy, working closely with Sales and Customer Service as part of the responsible Account Team. They manage technical relationships with customers, responding to inquiries, handling complaints, and evaluating technical risks.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical support to industrial Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers in the following industries: Recreational vehicles, Machine tool, Automation, Robotics, Food & Beverage, Wood Processing, Medical, Appliances, Semiconductor, Energy, and Printing and Coating. \nPerform engineering calculations and system analysis using the latest SKF simulation and calculation tools. Assist the customer with the bearing selection process and make design optimization recommendations.\nPerform bearing inspections, damage analysis and root cause evaluation on warranty or product development returns and drive continuous improvement initiatives using the DFMEA process. \nCustomer / Stakeholder Engagement\nReview customer testing methodologies and functionalities of product designs and recommend changes to improve bearing performance and cost efficiency. \nPerform task and project management to gate, track and prioritize projects.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork with Sales, Business Development, Quality, Product Development and Demand Chain, to drive all engineering aspects from technical proposal to final production and ensure it meets quality, cost and performance for the target application. \nBe the technical specialist and resource within the Industrial Sales Unit for SKF products and technologies, through relationships with global subject matter experts.\nOperational Excellence\nParticipate and contribute to internal and external trainings, assist with the development of training material\nWork in coordination with Product Engineering and Product Development teams to facilitate DFMEA and discuss the same with customers on a specific project or product line.\nStrategic Communication\nExcellent spoken and written English communication skills\nRecord customer activities, tasks, projects, reports, and visits in the appropriate SKF Sharepoint site and C4C customer relationship management tool.\nQualifications\nUS Citizen or Permanent Resident\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable degree)\n5+ years of design/application experience in an industrial environment - power train applications or rotating equipment, working with customers and designing mechanical systems\nKnowledge of bearings, transmission products or other rotating components is beneficial\nStrong mechanical hands-on and technical aptitude\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage projects with attention to detail and accuracy\nStrong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills\nTrack record of proactive and continuous improvement within area of responsibility\nDemonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills\nOutcome oriented, critical thinker capable of prioritizing to achieve results\nTravel Requirements\nDomestic and international travel up to 30% of the time as customer need dictates\nWhat You’ll Love About SKF:\nRest and Relaxation.
