This position is also responsible for general building maintenance.\nDuties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):\nComplete periodic machine tool preventive maintenance to ensure machine availability and reliability performance. \nTroubleshoot, repair and overhaul electrical/mechanical systems like pumps, gearboxes, ball screws, slide assemblies and other drive mechanisms.\nKnowledge of all standard measuring equipment including the proper use of micrometers, calipers and dial indicators. \nAbility to complete fabrication projects from drawings by using tool room equipment, such as engine lathe, milling machine, drill press and welding equipment. \nPerform installation and set-up of new equipment as necessary.\nOperate forklift when required.\nMust be able to work with CMMS system to record work orders and preventative maintenance schedules. \nResponsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment including identification of unsafe conditions. \nMay perform diagnosis/repair on low voltage and control circuits (less than 240 VAC).\nMay disassemble and assemble electrical wires, connections, conduit, motors, controls, etc. on de-energized machinery/equipment and facility.\nPerforms continuous improvement (lean) activities as may be assigned or required.\nPerforms other duties and assignments as scheduled and/or required.\nRequirements and Qualifications:\nMinimum of three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment performing repairs to machinery, basic equipment and general facility maintenance. \nHigh School Diploma or GED minimum. \nExperience with CNC machine repair is highly preferred.\nMust possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with hand tools (welding, wrenches, etc.) in mechanically oriented situations. \nGood working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, hydraulics, and pneumatics.\nAbility to read, write and to follow detailed written instructions. \nAbility to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, sit, bend and move freely about the plant. \nAt a minimum, steel toed or composite shoes and ANSI approved safety glasses with side shields are required.\nHourly employees will be a part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Lodge 475\nWhat You’ll Love About SKF:\nRest and Relaxation.
