You will work across the product lifecycle-from concept and detailed design through documentation, release and industrialisation-collaborating with colleagues in Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality, as well as with our suppliers.\nWhat you can expect in this role\nCreate and maintain 3D models and 2D technical drawings using Creo.\nDevelop and release engineering documentation in line with SKF’s drawing release process.\nManage CAD data, drawings and bills of materials in Windchill.\nDesign and integrate mechanical and electromechanical components, including mechanical parts, wiring and interfaces.\nDefine and review wiring layouts, harnesses and routing.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers and other engineering disciplines to deliver reliable and manufacturable solutions.\nEnsure designs meet relevant SKF standards, technical requirements and applicable regulations.\nContribute to product changes and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.\nWe expect you to have\nA degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.\nExperience in product engineering, mechanical design or a comparable engineering role.\nSolid working knowledge of Creo for 3D modelling and 2D drafting.\nExperience of engineering documentation, drawing release and change management processes.\nWorking knowledge of Windchill or a comparable product lifecycle management system.\nExperience of mechatronic products and mechanical-electrical integration, including wiring, harnesses or electromechanical interfaces.\nThe ability to read, interpret and create technical drawings and specifications.\nGood communication skills in English, both written and spoken.\nExperience of industrial products, manufacturing processes or railway applications would be beneficial, as would previous experience in a global engineering environment.\n\nYou will enjoy working here if you\nEnjoy turning requirements and technical concepts into practical engineering solutions.\nWork in a structured way, with attention to quality and detail.\nStay accountable, follow through on commitments and focus on delivering results.\nCollaborate openly across functions, disciplines and cultures.\nBring curiosity to technical challenges and look for opportunities to improve existing solutions.\nLike building relationships across SKF’s global organisation.\nRelate to SKF’s values of Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage and Care.\nWhat we offer!\nAn opportunity to contribute to a growing area within SKF and help develop condition monitoring and sensing products used in demanding industrial applications around the world.\nA collaborative, international engineering environment with exposure to the full product lifecycle.\nA culture of diversity and inclusion!
