Better Tomorrow in Motion.\nJob Description\nRole Title: Instructional Designer\nLocation: Pune, India\n\nPurpose of the Role\nAs an Instructional Designer, you will design engaging, learner-centric digital and blended learning experiences in the flow of work for global audiences across SKF.\nYou will work with SKF Academies, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to translate complex business and technical concepts into structured, accessible, and outcome-driven learning solutions. You will determine suitable learning formats, apply instructional design principles and learning theories, and create learning experiences that support knowledge retention, behavior change, and practical workplace impact.\nThe role combines instructional design expertise, creativity, visual and user -experience thinking, and confidence with modern learning technologies. You will use the latest learning methodologies, digital tools, and AI to improve the quality, efficiency, scalability, and learner experience of the content you develop.\nKey Responsibilities\nCollaborate with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into appropriate learning solutions.\nWork closely with SKF Academies to support portfolio management, alignment, and effective use of existing learning assets. Together, make sure the portfolio is cost-effective.\nTranslate complex business and technical concepts into structured, learner-centric content aligned with business objectives.\nDevelop storyboards, scripts, and visual designs that create an intuitive learner experience, effective learning flow, and clear alignment with instructional goals.\nApply instructional design principles, learning theories, and design models to create outcome-driven content that supports knowledge retention, behavior change, and real-world impact.\nEvaluate learning needs and select appropriate formats for each solution. Design and develop appropriate learning experience. In formats such as instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, video, microlearning, and immersive learning solutions like virtual reality.\nCreate diverse learning assets, including videos, animations, simulations, presentations, assessments, and interactive digital learning experiences.\nUse AI tools and modern technologies to improve content-development efficiency, quality, and personal productivity.\nContinuously improve learning experiences by incorporating feedback, analyzing learner engagement, and staying informed about emerging learning trends and technologies.\nEnable Academy teams and content creators by providing training, standards, templates, coaching, and reusable instructional design practices.
