The position reports to the Sales Quality Americas Manager for the Industrial Market for North America (Canada and USA). The Quality Engineer will play a vital role driving customer satisfaction through the passionate coordination of complaints, PPAPs, customer surveys and other customer related activities. The person will act as a liaison between customers and SKF’s global factory base. They will be a key advocate for customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nChampions the SKF Group Quality Policy and philosophy.\nCoordinates containment/corrective/improvement actions, related to customer complaints, warranty and field issues.\nDrives implementation of the SKF Group Quality Policy and objectives.\nCoordinate corrective action follow-up and deployment inside and outside own Business Unit.\nManage customer portals, quality reviews, etc. with Key customers, as assigned (i.e., Caterpillar, John Deere, CNHI, etc.).\nPerform internal Quality System Audits to ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 22163 and follow-up on internal corrective actions.\nCoordinate PPAP requests with the SKF Factories and product owners.\nHelp sales to negotiate the suitable PPAP/FAI for the type of product and application.\nAssist in Customer Surveys.\nParticipate in and drive continuous improvement projects\nDevelop solutions using Office 365, AI, to improve our ways of working\nAssist in review of Customer General Requirements.\nFollow up, monitor, report, and check effectiveness of improvement activities related to Quality KPI’s and audit non-conformances.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent\nMinimum of three years of experience in Quality Assurance\nExperience working with major/key OEM and After Market customers\nIn depth knowledge of ISO 9001\nDemonstrated interpersonal skills, successful teamwork experience, and the ability to work internally and externally with all organizational levels\nGood listener with sound written and verbal communication skills as well as fluency in English\nQualified auditor status for ISO 9001:2015 as a minimum\nA strong desire to promote and influence change in the organization through leading by example in areas of competence\nMust be able to self manage with limited resources and deliver desired results, with speed and accuracy\nSound understanding of Quality requirements\nWorking knowledge of using Office 365, Power apps, basic programing, or other tools to develop solutions\nBasic programing and coding, working with databases or creation of applications\nData and statistical analysis knowledge (Excel, Minitab, or other statistical software) \nKnowledge and understanding of Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt certification preferred\nAbility to travel up to 15%-30%\nSkills and Behaviors\nGood training/coaching/facilitation skills \nAble to collaborate and work in a matrix and in a cross-cultural environment \nPassion for problem solving\nPassion for creating a great Customer Experience\nExcellent in communication and in forming strong partnerships, energetic and willing to work in teams\nStrong drive to deliver results. \nSelf-starter and motivator, change agent\nWhat You’ll Love About SKF:\nRest and Relaxation.
