Multi timezone coverage.\nThe Role\nThe Enterprise Architect establishes a clear picture of where the operating organisations' technology estate is today, defines where it needs to be, and drives the standards and roadmap that get it there. The role leads discovery and documents the as-is environment with particular focus on corporate systems, document management, integration technologies, identity and data platforms and services. From that baseline it defines the to-be enterprise architecture required to deliver the vision of the most technologically advanced mining company in the world.\nThis is a hands-on role. The ideal candidate is excited by thought leadership and driving architecture maturity, and is equally ready to pick up the pen and help us get the basics right. We are a visible sponsor of safety.\nThis role works across two speeds at once: the pace of a start-up building new capability, and the rigour required to run large, complex operating organisations. You will work alongside business, IT and operational teams to understand how the estate really runs today not just how it is documented.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDiscovery and as-is architecture\nLead discovery across the operating organisations and document the as-is environment, including capability mapping\n\nInitial focus on, but not limited to, the information systems and technical architecture of corporate systems (ERP, finance, HR, procurement, supply chain), document management, integration technologies, identity and data platforms and services. Mining applications and operational technology to follow as required\n\nBuilds trust through discovery, then turns that understanding into standards and change the organisations adopt and own\n\nMap enterprise services and capabilities and applicable as-is technical landscape\n\nWith technology partners and vendors\nOperates as an informed client: reviews partner designs and recommendations, tests their assumptions and holds them to the agreed standards\n\nTo-be architecture\nCollaborate to define the future-state vision of the most technologically advanced mining company in the world and translate into desired end-state architecture bridging AI, automation and data readiness\n\nIdentify roadmap activities required to progress from current to future state\n\nStrategy and roadmap\nContribute to technology strategy and roadmap creation, translating architecture choices into business outcomes, cost and risk\n\nPrioritise initiatives so foundational work and transformational work progress together\n\nStandards and adoption\nDrive the definition of enterprise standards, principles and reference architectures\n\nLead their implementation and adoption into the operating organisations, including governance and a clear exception process\n\nSkiffra Implementation\nEnsures enterprise architecture requirements and standards are reflected in Skiffra’s product implementation playbooks, so every deployment lands on a consistent, supportable foundation\n\nProvide input into Skiffra product implementation requirements\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n10+ years in enterprise, solution or domain architecture, including leading enterprise-wide architecture work\n\nA track record of running discovery and documenting as-is environments in large, complex organisations, including capability mapping\n\nExperience defining to-be architectures and transition roadmaps that were adopted and delivered, and contributing to technology strategy that ties architecture choices to business outcomes, cost and risk\n\nBroad knowledge of corporate systems: ERP (e.g. SAP), finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, and maintenance and work management, plus application portfolio management and rationalisation\n\nDepth in document and information management, including enterprise content and records management (e.g. SharePoint, OpenText), engineering and technical document control, and information governance, retention and classification\n\nA strong grasp of integration technologies: API management, middleware and integration platforms (iPaaS, ESB), event-driven and messaging architectures, and the standards and patterns that keep them consistent\n\nExperience with enterprise identity and access management (e.g. Microsoft Entra ID), including SSO, federation, MFA, RBAC, identity governance and Zero Trust principles\n\nSolid data architecture expertise across warehouses, lakes and lakehouses, master data, data governance and quality, and central versus regional data models, multi-tenancy and access controls\n\nExperience defining enterprise standards, principles and reference architectures and driving their adoption across multiple business units or organisations, backed by architecture governance, review boards and a clear exception process\n\nFluency in architecture frameworks and methods (e.g. TOGAF) and in architecture repositories and modelling tools\n\nEqual comfort with big-picture thought leadership and picking up the pen to get the basics right\n\nComfort working at pace in a start-up or transformation environment, with ambiguity and competing priorities\n\nCuriosity about mining and operational technology, and a willingness to go to site to see how the estate really runs\n\nNice to Have\nFamiliarity with OT systems and the IT/OT boundary, including IT/OT integration, edge compute, network segmentation, industrial control systems, historians and SCADA\n\nExperience in mining, resources or heavy industry\n\nTOGAF certification\n\nCloud architecture certification (Azure, GCP or AWS)\n\nTertiary qualification in IT, engineering, computer science or a related field\n\nSUCCESS PROFILE\nExcited by thought leadership and driving architecture maturity, and equally willing to pick up the pen and get the basics done.\nMoves comfortably between big-picture vision and detailed as-is documentation.\nThrives in a fast start-up environment while respecting the realities of large, complex operating organisations.\nBuilds credibility with business, IT and operational stakeholders, and turns standards into adopted practice.\nStrong communicator who translates architecture choices into business outcomes, cost and risk.\nCurious about mining and operational technology, and motivated by building the most technologically advanced mining company in the world.\nHow We Work\nWe value speed, clarity, and technical rigor.
