This role contributes directly to customer experience, release confidence, and overall product stability through strong automation practices and proactive quality ownership.\nBy enhancing test automation coverage, strengthening CI/CD quality gates, and promoting early defect detection, the Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) directly reduces manual QA effort, production defects, release risk, and engineering rework - translating into lower operational cost, faster release cycles, and more predictable, confident delivery. The role also collaborates closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to build scalable quality processes and continuously improve engineering efficiency.\nWhat You Bring:\n5+ years of experience in software quality engineering - setting automation direction, mentoring SDETs, and driving technical execution\n\nStrong hands-on experience in building scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems (Integration Testing)\n\nDeep experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.), including test integration, pipeline optimization, and release gating\n\nStrong understanding of infrastructure components impacting quality (cloud environments, containers, microservices, service dependencies, and test environments)\n\nProven experience ensuring environment stability, including test environment reliability, test data management, and flaky test reduction\n\nStrong background in performance testing and engineering (load, stress, scalability testing, and performance bottleneck analysis)\n\nExperience collaborating with DevOps/SRE teams to improve system reliability, deployment stability, and observability\n\nHands-on experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and LLM-based systems to improve test design, automate test creation, analyze failures, and accelerate debugging workflows\n\nExperience applying AI-driven approaches for log analysis, failure clustering, test optimization, and defect pattern detection\n\nNote: Ability to work from the Bangalore office 3 days per week.\nLearn More About Skillz:\n\nSkillz embraces diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
