Learn more to see if Skillz is the right fit for your next career move!\nWe’re looking for an SDET with a strong mix of hands-on manual testing and test automation experience. You’ll work closely with a product engineering pod to maintain reliable test suites, automate new feature coverage, and support quality throughout the sprint.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nMaintain, stabilize, and extend existing BVT and regression automation suites across backend services and the mobile app. Triage flaky tests, fix breakages, and improve suite reliability.\nBuild in-sprint automation by converting prioritized feature and regression test cases into automated coverage.\nPerform day-to-day manual testing, including feature and sprint testing, BVT execution, regression, and exploratory testing. Provide timely release feedback and sign-off.\nMaintain QA tooling and test infrastructure, including test data, test environments, and reporting, so the pod can test without delays.\nKeep automated tests running in CI/CD pipelines, investigate failures, identify root causes, and report clear, reproducible defects.\nPartner with developers on API and integration checks to identify issues earlier in the development cycle.\nUse AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and other LLM-based tools to support test authoring, debugging, and maintenance.\nKeep test cases, suites, and documentation current, and contribute reusable utilities that reduce ongoing maintenance.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n3-6 years of experience in SDET roles, with a blend of manual testing and test automation.\nHands-on programming experience in at least one language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.\nExperience writing, maintaining, and extending tests within an existing automation framework for UI, API, integration, or backend testing.\nStrong manual testing fundamentals across functional, regression, system, end-to-end, exploratory, and BVT testing.\nExperience testing features within an Agile or Scrum sprint cycle.\nPractical exposure to CI/CD test integration using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.\nGood debugging and root-cause analysis skills, including the ability to triage test failures and flaky tests.\nWorking knowledge of test data management and test environment upkeep.\nExperience using AI tools to support test creation, expand coverage, or accelerate debugging.\nClear written communication, especially when documenting reproducible defects, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a pod or Scrum team.\nPreference will be given to candidates with experience in real-money gaming (RMG) or B2C companies.\nNote: Ability to work from the Bangalore office 4 days per week.\nLearn More About Skillz:\n\nSkillz embraces diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
