This role assists throughout the design process-from concept through production, helping bring seasonal collections to life with a strong focus on fit, functionality, quality, and attention to detail.\n\nWorking closely with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising, and Production, the Design Associate will help execute seasonal collections, prepare presentation materials, maintain design documentation, and contribute to product innovation. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented designer looking to grow within a fast-paced, global brand.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nResponsibilities\nSupport the design team throughout the seasonal product development process from concept to production.\nAssist in designing apparel across multiple Kids categories, including underwear, loungewear, sleepwear, basics, activewear, and seasonal capsules.\nCreate and update sketches, technical flats, CADs, colorways, and presentation materials.\nPrepare and maintain accurate tech packs, line sheets, and design documentation.\nConduct trend, market, competitive, and consumer research to identify new product opportunities.\nAssist in developing seasonal color palettes, prints, graphics, trims, fabrics, and construction details.\nOrganize and maintain design libraries, fabric archives, color standards, and sample inventory.\nSupport fittings by preparing samples, taking notes, tracking revisions, and updating design documents.\nPartner closely with Product Development and Technical Design to ensure products maintain design intent throughout development.\nReview prototypes and samples, providing feedback on design, construction, fit, quality, and functionality.\nAssist with seasonal presentations, merchandising reviews, and cross-functional meetings.\nHelp track seasonal calendars and ensure design deliverables are completed on time.\nStay informed on emerging trends, fabric innovations, and developments within the children's apparel market.\nSupport special projects and additional design initiatives as needed.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nBachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field.\n1-3 years of apparel design experience or relevant internships, preferably within children's apparel, intimates, or ready-to-wear.\nStrong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, and apparel development.\nExperience creating CADs, technical flats, and design presentations.\nProficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.\nExperience with PLM systems is preferred.\nExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nSoft Skills\n\nCreative, curious, and passionate about designing products that enhance everyday comfort.\nHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail.\nCollaborative team player who enjoys working across multiple functions.\nEager to learn, receptive to feedback, and committed to continuous growth.\nAdaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.\nPositive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and support the broader team.\nPassion for the SKIMS brand and an understanding of modern, elevated essentials designed for everyday life.\n\nBenefits, Culture and Perks\n Benefits and Culture\nUp to 100% Company Paid Healthcare (medical, dental, vision) \nKind Body Fertility Benefits \n401(k) savings plan with up to 4% match \nUnlimited PTO \nFull Access to LinkedIn learning \nEmployee Discounts \n Perks (HQ Location)\nFree weekly catered lunch at HQ -
