If you join us, you're not just building a product - you're helping close the gap between a person noticing something and getting the care they need.\nDevOps at SkinVision\nAs a DevOps Engineer at SkinVision, you will play a key role in building, scaling, and securing the infrastructure that powers our AI-driven health platform. You’ll design and maintain our cloud-based systems in AWS, implement CI/CD pipelines, enhance observability using Datadog, and drive operational excellence through automation and monitoring.\nYour work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of a medical-grade system that serves users globally. You’ll collaborate closely with backend, ML, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery, rapid deployments, and resilient operations - ultimately enabling us to deliver life-saving technology with confidence.\nBeyond hands-on expertise with AWS and modern DevOps tooling, we’re looking for someone who thinks architecturally. You’ll get to know our current setup, form your own view of how it should evolve, and help define a target vision for our infrastructure, then drive its implementation. Day-to-day operational work is part of the role, but we value someone who thinks before building and takes ownership of where our infrastructure goes next.\nWhat you will do\nCloud Infrastructure & Automation\nDesign, build, and manage AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.\n\nImplement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.\n\nAutomate environment provisioning, configuration, and deployments using CI/CD pipelines.\n\nEnsure system resilience, security, and performance through automated monitoring and alerting.\n\nCI/CD & Deployment\nDesign and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable, and safe deployments across environments.\n\nManage deployment workflows using Argo CD and Kubernetes.\n\nCollaborate with developers and ML engineers to streamline build, test, and release processes.\n\nIntegrate automated testing, rollback strategies, and version control into the deployment lifecycle.\n\nObservability & Monitoring\nBuild a comprehensive observability stack using Datadog for metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.\n\nDefine service-level objectives (SLOs), service-level indicators (SLIs), and dashboards for system performance.\n\nProactively detect and resolve performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, and reliability risks.\n\nCreate automated health checks and ensure visibility across production systems.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nImplement security best practices for AWS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nManage identity, access, and secret handling (IAM, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store).\n\nEnsure compliance with medical device standards and data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).\n\nPartner with the Information Security Officer to embed security controls across infrastructure and deployments.\n\nReliability & Incident Management\nLead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure or deployment-related issues.\n\nEstablish SLAs and operational runbooks for production environments.\n\nContinuously improve system reliability through chaos testing, redundancy, and fault tolerance.\n\nMentor engineers on DevOps principles, observability practices, and infrastructure automation.\n\nInfrastructure Strategy & Architecture\nAssess the current infrastructure and deployment setup, and form a well-reasoned view of how it should evolve.\n\nDefine and maintain a target architecture for our cloud platform, balancing reliability, scalability, security, and cost.\n\nTranslate the target vision into a practical roadmap and drive its implementation incrementally, alongside day-to-day operations.\n\nDocument and communicate architectural decisions, aligning with engineering and leadership on technical direction.\n\nRequirements\nEssential skills\nMinimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.\n\nStrong expertise with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.).\n\nExpert in Kubernetes and Argo CD, deploying and managing production-grade custom Helm charts with secure, automated GitOps workflows in EKS\n\nAdvanced knowledge of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).\n\nProficiency in Datadog for observability, monitoring, and alerting.\n\nStrong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.\n\nExperience managing infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.\n\nFamiliarity with networking fundamentals, load balancing, and API gateway configuration.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and incident management skills.\n\nDesirable skills\nExperience in regulated industries such as healthcare, MedTech, or FinTech.\n\nFamiliarity with multi-environment architecture (staging, pre-prod, production) and blue-green deployments.\n\nExposure to event-driven systems, message queues, and data streaming (Kafka, SNS/SQS).\n\nUnderstanding of Zero Trust networking and cloud security best practices.\n\nExperience in cost optimization and performance tuning in AWS.\n\nQualifications\nA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
