Test Planning:\nAnalyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and participate in requirement grooming and sprint planning sessions.\nIdentify functional, integration, regression, and edge-case scenarios, and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.\nIdentify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle.\nProvide test effort estimates for assigned stories and features.\nFunctional & Manual Testing:\nPerform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, end-to-end, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.\nValidate applications against functional and non-functional requirements before release.\nApply test design techniques including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and risk-based testing.\nWeb & Mobile (Manual and Automation) Testing:\nDesign, develop, and maintain manual and automated test scripts for web as well as mobile applications using Playwright (preferred), Selenium WebDriver, or Cypress.\nApply Page Object Model and reusable automation architecture, fixtures, assertions, explicit waits and synchronization, and browser contexts and sessions.\nImplement data-driven and parameterized tests, parallel and cross-browser execution, retry strategies, and environment configuration.\nUse screenshots, videos, and traces for failure analysis, and debug and maintain existing automation frameworks rather than only writing individual scripts.\nWrite automation using TypeScript/JavaScript (preferred), Java, or Python, applying OOP fundamentals, exception handling, JSON manipulation, and file handling.\nAPI Testing:\nTest and automate REST APIs using Postman, Playwright API, REST Assured, Karate, or Newman; automation is preferred over manual Postman testing only.\nValidate GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE methods, HTTP status codes, headers, query and path parameters, and request/response payloads.\nVerify authentication and authorization using bearer tokens, JWT, and OAuth basics.\nPerform API schema validation, response validation, and negative API testing.\nDatabase Testing:\nWrite SQL queries using SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, aggregate functions, and subqueries.\nValidate data between the UI/API and backend databases.\nWork with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.\nDefect Management:\nIdentify, reproduce, and document software defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.\nAssign appropriate severity and priority, and collaborate with developers during defect investigation.\nPerform defect retesting and verification, and participate in root-cause analysis for recurring production or regression issues.\nUse Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, Xray, or similar test and defect management platforms.\nCI/CD, Continuous Testing & Version Control:\nTrigger automated test suites from pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitLab CI/CD) and support continuous regression execution.\nAnalyze pipeline failures, troubleshoot failed tests, and manage environment-specific configurations.\nUse Git (clone, pull, push, commit, branch, merge, pull/merge requests, conflict resolution) on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure Repos.\nTest Reporting & Failure Analysis:\nAnalyze and communicate automation execution results using Allure, Playwright HTML, Extent, Cucumber, or Jenkins/Azure DevOps reports.\nDistinguish between product defects, automation defects, environment failures, test-data failures, and infrastructure issues.\nAgile / Scrum Collaboration:\nParticipate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Defect Triage.\nCollaborate continuously with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and DevOps rather than treating testing as a separate end-of-cycle activity.\nAI-Assisted Quality Engineering:\nUse AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for test generation, test-data generation, log and failure analysis, automation code generation, and test-case optimization.\nReview, validate, and maintain AI-generated tests and code using standard engineering practices.\n\nRequirements:\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline/experience.\nTechnical/Computer Skills:\nWeb Automation: Playwright (preferred) / Selenium / Cypress\nMobile Automation: Appium\nProgramming: TypeScript / JavaScript (preferred), Java, or
