The role is accountable for the operational execution of the Cyber Security strategy, ensuring effective threat detection, response, exposure reduction, and cyber resilience across Sky Italy.\nAs a senior leader within the Cyber Security organization, the role drives operational excellence, security innovation, and continuous improvement while supporting business transformation, regulatory compliance, and risk management objectives. The position acts as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders during cyber incidents and strategic security initiatives.\nWhat you’ll do:\nLead Security Operations and Cyber Defense activities across the organization.\nOversee the end-to-end detection, investigation, containment, and recovery processes for cyber incidents.\nDrive the evolution of security monitoring and automation capabilities to improve operational effectiveness and cyber resilience.\nEstablish and maintain a risk-based Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) program to proactively identify and reduce security exposure.\nManage Security Operations Center (SOC) services, ensuring appropriate coverage, service quality, and operational readiness.\nCollaborate with Technology, Digital, Data and Product teams locally and at Group level\nEnsure continuous improvement of security controls through threat intelligence, lessons learned, purple teaming, threat hunting, and attack simulation activities.\nSupport executive reporting and decision-making through meaningful cyber risk and operational security metrics.\nWhat we're looking for:\nProven experience leading Cyber Security Operations, Security Operations Centers (SOC), or Cyber Defense teams.\nStrong background in incident response, threat detection, and cyber resilience.\nExperience managing complex security programs, vendors, and strategic initiatives.\nProven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change.\nExperience working with executive stakeholders and communicating cyber risks in a clear and business-focused way.\nGood understanding of:\nSecurity Operations and Threat Detection.\nSIEM, EDR/XDR, and Security Monitoring technologies.\nSecurity Automation and Orchestration platforms.\nVulnerability and Exposure Management.\nThreat Intelligence and Threat Hunting.\nCloud and enterprise security environments.\nLeadership skills\nStrategic thinking and execution.\nPeople leadership and talent development.\nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills.\nExecutive communication and reporting.\nCrisis management and decision-making under pressure.\nAbility to lead large-scale transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.\n7+ years of experience in Cyber Security leadership roles.\nExperience operating in complex, highly regulated, and customer-focused environments.\nRelevant industry certifications are considered a plus.\nWhat we offer:\nFor Employees Covered by the Private Radio and Television Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL), the salary starts from: €68.000.\nContract type: Permanent\nThe actual compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and specific skills.The role is also eligible for the annual incentive scheme.\nAt Sky, we are committed to providing a healthy, stimulating workplace that supports individual needs, both professionally and personally.\nWith this in mind, we created Sky4You, our wellbeing programme designed to support employees through the different stages of life.
