The Test Engineer will be responsible for\nvalidating application functionality, executing functional and backend testing, and developing automated tests using modern testing tools.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform functional validation and testing of web-based applications to ensure requirements and business workflows are met.\nDesign, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across application features and releases.\nDevelop and execute automated tests using Playwright and/or Codecept.\nPerform database and backend validation, including SQL queries, data verification, and end-to-end data validation.\nIdentify, document, troubleshoot, and track defects through resolution.\nValidate APIs, application workflows, data processing, and integrations as applicable.\nCollaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA/test team members in an Agile environment.\nParticipate in test planning, test execution, regression testing, integration testing, and release validation.\nUse AI-assisted development/testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools to improve test creation, test automation, troubleshooting, documentation, or analysis.\nReview and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and maintainability.\nSupport continuous improvement of testing processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience in software testing / quality assurance / test engineering.\nStrong experience with functional testing and validation of web applications.\nHands-on experience with Playwright, Codecept, or similar modern test automation frameworks.\nExperience performing database/backend validation using SQL.\nExperience with test case development, execution, defect tracking, and regression testing.\nHands-on experience using at least one AI-assisted development/testing tool, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience supporting CMS, federal healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal government programs.\nExperience with API testing and validation.\nExperience with CI/CD and automated testing within DevOps/DevSecOps environments.\nExperience with cloud-based applications, particularly AWS.\nExperience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect/test management platforms.\nFamiliarity with Java/Spring Boot or other modern application
