As part of our imaging team in Tampere, you will help test and characterize the camera modules going into our current and next-generation products, design the lab setups that make that testing possible, and - depending on your interests - get involved in image quality analysis, ISP tuning, or our Qualcomm-based camera software stack.\nThis is a part-time position alongside your studies, with flexible hours.\nAbout The Team:\nWe design camera systems that support autonomous navigation, professional media capture, and industrial inspection and situational awareness. From early-stage user needs analysis to mass production, we manage the entire lifecycle: requirements definition, hardware bring-up, tuning, and validation.\nHow You’ll Make An Impact:\nDesign and build new lab setups and fixtures for camera and image quality testing, including the software that drives them\n\nTest and calibrate new camera modules against our requirements\n\nAnalyze measurement data and turn it into clear visualizations and reports that steer concrete design decisions\n\nDepending on your interests and background: contribute to image quality analysis, ISP tuning, optics simulations, or development on our Qualcomm-based camera software stack\n\nWhat Makes You A Good Fit:\nYou are studying toward a degree in a field such as electrical engineering, optics, photonics, computer vision, or computer science - with a solid foundation in one of these areas\n\nGenuine enthusiasm for hands-on work in the lab with real hardware\n\nPython or a comparable language for automating measurements, data analysis and visualization\n\nClear written and verbal communication\n\nWorking proficiency in English\n\nNice To Have:\nHands-on experience with lab instruments or building your own measurement setups\n\nInterest in cameras and photography\n\nFamiliarity with image quality metrics - resolution, noise, color - and how they are measured\n\nExperience with optical design or simulation software\n\nExposure to embedded Linux or Qualcomm ISP\n\nAt Skydio we believe that diversity drives innovation.
