We believe the best architects are builders, people who can design elegant systems, write production-quality code, prototype quickly, and mentor other engineers through technical leadership.\nYou'll work directly with executive leadership, product teams, and business stakeholders to solve some of the company's most complex operational challenges. You'll combine software engineering, data architecture, AI, and product thinking to build applications that fundamentally change how our Go-to-Market organization operates.\nYou'll own the technical vision while remaining deeply involved in implementation, helping shape both the architecture and the code that powers our platform.\n(This role will hire and manage two entry-level AI Engineers)\nWhat you'll build\nYou will architect and build products across areas including:\nSales Planning\n\nTerritory & Capacity Planning\n\nSales Forecasting\n\nDeal Operations\n\nFulfillment Planning\n\nCustomer Success/Support Operations\n\nAI-powered GTM assistants\n\nSlack-native workflows and automation\n\nInternal AI agents that automate business processes\n\nHow you'll make an impact\nPlatform Architecture\nOwn the technical architecture for Skydio's GTM platform.\n\nDesign scalable business applications built on Palantir Foundry.\n\nBuild and evolve a unified business ontology that serves as the foundation for commercial operations.\n\nDefine engineering standards, architecture principles, and platform governance.\n\nSoftware Engineering\nWrite production-quality Python, SQL, and TypeScript code.\n\nDesign and build scalable APIs, services, and integrations.\n\nBuild AI-powered applications and autonomous workflows using modern LLM technologies.\n\nDevelop reusable platform components that accelerate future application development.\n\nReview code, mentor engineers, and establish engineering best practices.\n\nPrototype new ideas rapidly while ensuring production-grade quality.\n\nData & AI\nDesign scalable data models and semantic business objects.\n\nBuild reliable ELT/ETL pipelines and event-driven data workflows.\n\nDevelop AI copilots, intelligent assistants, and agentic workflows.\n\nApply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, and modern AI architectures where they create measurable business value.\n\nBusiness Partnership\nPartner directly with executives across Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Support, Product, and Operations.\n\nTranslate complex business challenges into scalable software products.\n\nDrive adoption of AI and automation across the GTM organization.\n\nPrioritize work based on measurable business impact.\n\nWhat makes you a good fit\nRequired\n5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise applications or platform products.\n\nExpert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.\n\nStrong experience with TypeScript or another modern programming language.\n\nExperience building production-grade software using modern software engineering practices.\n\nStrong computer science fundamentals including distributed systems, APIs, object-oriented design, concurrency, and system design.\n\nExperience designing REST APIs and integrating enterprise SaaS platforms.\n\nExperience designing scalable data models and business ontologies.\n\nExperience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment pipelines.\n\nExperience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.\n\nStrong understanding of software architecture, observability, reliability, and security.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with executives and cross-functional partners.\n\nObtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for certain positions.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with several of the following:\nPalantir Foundry\n\nPalantir AIP\n\nPySpark / Apache Spark\n\nDatabricks\n\nSalesforce Platform & APIs\n\nSlack APIs\n\nOpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM platforms\n\nMCP, RAG, vector databases, LangGraph, LangChain, or similar AI frameworks\n\nExperience building platforms supporting Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Supply Chain, or Operations is highly desirable\n\nWhat makes you successful\nYou're likely a great fit if you:\nLove building products not just designing architectures.\n\nAre equally comfortable whiteboarding a distributed system and writing production code.\n\nThrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.\n\nThink like an owner and challenge existing processes.\n\nCare deeply about developer experience, software quality, and platform scalability.\n\nHave a passion for applying AI to solve meaningful business problems.\n\nEnjoy mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar for the entire organization.\n\nCompensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $303,000*.
