We combine technical expertise, mission awareness, and an empowered workforce to produce meaningful results.\nThis is a contingent position based upon customer approval.\nSkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Cyber Data Analyst to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. \nThis position is located in Arlington, VA and will be onsite 5 days a week. No hybrid/telework allowed. \nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze cybersecurity and operational datasets (e.g., network logs, authentication data, phishing activity, threat telemetry) to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.\nDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to support operational and leadership reporting.\nPerform data extraction, validation, cleansing, transformation, and enrichment using Python (Pandas) and SQL.\nSupport recurring reporting and analytics workflows by automating manual processes and improving data quality checks.\nConduct exploratory data analysis to support operational monitoring, situational awareness, and decision-making.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity analysts and stakeholders to translate business and operational requirements into data-driven insights.\nDevelop and maintain metrics related to cyber activity, authentication trends, phishing events, and external threat activity.\nAssist with identifying reporting gaps, data inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.\nDocument data sources, reporting methodologies, business rules, and analytical processes to support transparency and repeatability.\nSupport ad hoc reporting requests and operational data analysis efforts.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree and minimum 9 years experience; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the bachelors degree requirement.\n\nMust possess one of the following certifications:CySA+, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CHFI, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CND, GCED, GCIH, GICSP, SSCP\n\nMinimum 2 years of coding experience (any programming language).\nMinimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or data analytics.\nFoundational cybersecurity knowledge or foundational understanding of network and host telemetry.\nExperience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.\nAbility to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nActive Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTwo (2) or more years of hands-on experience with Python or SQL.\nExperience working with Python/Pandas for data transformation, automation, and analytics.\nExperience supporting cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, or security monitoring.\nExperience with large-scale operational or cybersecurity datasets.\nExperience building automated reporting pipelines or analytics workflows.\nExperience using data visualization tools to support leadership reporting and operational decision-making.\nFamiliarity with supervised and unsupervised machine learning concepts.\nCompensation:\nSalary Range: 100,000-124,000\nThe SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only.
