Develop methods for testing, sampling, and training. May evaluate production and recommend improvements. Work with quality inspection supervisors to train and oversee inspectors in their use of control forms, procedures, and correcting quality problems.\nResponsibility\nCollaborate with Plant quality engineers and process engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design.\nauto;\">Make recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective production.\n\nProvide support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques\nAssist in the resolution of quality issues with capability, tolerancing, and materials related concerns by:\nIdentifying problems\nExamining solution options\nImplementing action plans.\nEffectively communicate and reinforce commitment to quality improvement efforts. Note: Notify proper personnel to assist in the resolution when required.\nAssist in PPAP process for new product launches to meet customer requirements.\nAid with process stability and capability studies.\nReview and analyze results.\nRecommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.\nParticipate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities. \nAssist engineering teams during the coordination of pre-launch production trial run.\nValidate Control Plan requirements are followed on the shop floor.\nUse appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.\nauto;\">Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques.\n\nauto;\">Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.\n\nauto;\">Provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.\n\nauto;\">Establish statistical machine reliability by using statistical methods.\n\nauto;\">Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.\n\nauto;\">Analyze data by completing normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.\n\nPerform conformance audits on product lines to assure customer satisfaction which include the following:\nauto;\">Product is as per customer requirement\n\nauto;\">5S principles is followed throughout the process\n\nauto;\">Personnel is following the posted work instructions\n\nauto;\">Tagging process is followed as per requirement.\n\nauto;\">Etc. \n\nConduct Dock audits as per product requirement.\nPrepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations.\nPerform operator training as per posted instructions. (This may include training supervisor of the area)\nEvaluate effectiveness of training.\nEvaluate effectiveness of end of line inspection and provide feedback for improvements\nauto;\">Generate and distribute end of shift reports as required.\n\nAcademic/Educational Requirements.\nHigh School Diploma.\n Required Skills/ExperienceThree years of related experience with experience in quality assurance functions.\nExperience with APQP: Process Control Plans, PFMEA, Gauge Planning, and all levels of PPAP requirements. Read operating and quality assurance reports to understand technical and operational information about facilities, processes, and equipment.\nExperience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensional tolerancing. Knowledge and experience in gauging methods, calibration, and gauge R and R’s. Ability to take precise measurements using specialized equipment and techniques.\nAble to train other employees, organize and lead meetings with employees\nExperience in writing and executing engineering test protocols \nPossess an understanding of experimental design and statistics\nCustomer service focused with a commitment to continuous improvement.\nProficient with MS Office and CAD applications. Familiar with ISO/IATF16949 quality standards.
