Responsibilities include assisting in the planning, development, and evaluation of new projects or processes. This role works collaboratively with other Quality Engineers and Process Engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met and to coordinate contributions for the successful completion of required quality projects.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s location, including adherence to the Global Operating System Plays, OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.\n\nPromote and demonstrateLinamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors in all aspects of work.\n\nMaintain a balance between customer, employee, and financial satisfaction by managing performance indicators aligned with Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.\n\nSupport and maintainlean initiatives in accordance withLPS system requirements, ensuring compliance with 5S standards within the department.\n\nDevelop instructions for capability studies and APQP activities, ensuring compliance with all PPAP requirements and documentation, including supplier submissions.\n\nChampion the monthly issuance of corrective action requests (8D) and drive improvements where necessary.\n\nProvide training and guidance to quality inspectors and other team members.\n\nLead team meetings, documentand report on continuous quality improvement activities, and participatein continuous improvement programs.\n\nPerform and document machine and process capability studies, ensuring regular calibrations and troubleshooting of inspection machines.\n\nEnsure all activities comply withIATF 16949 procedures and systems.\n\nMaintain a clean and organized quality assurance work area, including light maintenance responsibilities.\n\nStay current with developments in the field by maintainingcertifications, engaging in continuous learning, and reading work-related publications.\n\nTake direction from Quality Engineering to meet department goals and objectives.\n\nAdhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nAcademic/Educational Requirements\n\nApplied Science degree or equivalent expertisegained through professional experience, training, or certifications.\n\nCertified Quality Technician (CQT) certification preferred\n\nRequired Skills/Experience\n\nProficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.\n\nStrong communicationand interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to meet company attendance standards and follow given instructions.\n\nExperience in automotive quality assurance is required.\n\nPrior experience in dealing with customers and suppliers at a management level.\n\nKnowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and AIAG core tools.\n\nSkilled in operating overhead cranes.\n\nStrong data analysis skills, with working knowledge of Minitab, QC Calc, and MeasurLink.\n\nCQE, CQA, and CQM certifications preferred.\n\nCertification in machine programming (CMM, Gear CMMs, Shaft machines, etc.) is an advantage.\n\nPreviousexperience in quality inspection/programming within a high-volume machine shop is preferred (3+ years).\n\nThorough knowledge of non-conforming material issues and the ability to make disposition decisions.\n\nSkilled in interpreting machining drawings, diagrams, and callouts.\n\nProficient in using precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and angle finders.\n\nAbility to evaluate and troubleshoot automated and mechanical gages and tooling.\n\nProven ability to lead and train others in quality-related activities.\n\nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production operators, and quality control staff.\n\nWhat Linamar Has to Offer\nCompetitive Compensation\n\nEmployee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Medical, Dental & Vision etc.\n\nOpportunities for career advancement.\n\nCommunity based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.\n\nDiscounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.\n\nAbout Us\nLinamar Corporation is a Canadian-founded global manufacturer, renowned for its advanced engineering and innovative product development across diverse industries and markets.
