Come invent something new with us.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a Senior E-commerce Engineer to help us build and run the site where customers discover and buy Skylight products. You'll work primarily in TypeScript on a Hydrogen application (server-rendered React and React Router v7), owning features from the browser all the way through the server. You should bring deep experience shipping production React applications, a strong instinct for performance and reliability, and the judgment to know when a problem calls for new architecture and when a simpler fix will do.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and ship new features for our customer-facing e-commerce site using Typescript / Hydrogen (React and React Router v7)\nOwn server-rendered pages end to end, from routes, loaders, and actions to the components customers see\nIntegrate with commerce, content, and analytics APIs, and debug issues across the full request lifecycle\nImprove site speed and reliability so every visit is fast and every checkout works\nDecide where to invest in architecture and where to ship a simpler solution\nCollaborate with Marketing, Design, Product, and Operations on launches, campaigns, and experiments\nWrite maintainable, high-quality code with strong test coverage\nMentor other engineers through code reviews and design discussions\nRequirements\nStrong experience building and operating production React and TypeScript applications with server-side rendering\nSolid hands-on experience with React Router v7, including routes, loaders, actions, and server-rendered application patterns\nFull-stack experience: comfortable in both the browser and the server, integrating APIs, and debugging across the request lifecycle\nA track record of improving performance and reliability for a customer-facing site\nGood judgment about when to invest in architecture and when to deliver a simpler solution\nClear communication and collaboration skills across engineering and non-engineering teams\nNice to Haves\nExperience with Shopify Plus, the Storefront API, or Hydrogen\nExperience with CMS integrations\nFamiliarity with feature flags and A/B testing\nExperience with e-commerce analytics\nBenefits\nOur competitive compensation package includes:\nCompetitive Salary + Equity Package\n401K matching\nWellness, learning, and home-office budgets\nHealth, Dental & Vision Medical Plans\nTremendous autonomy to set the direction of your work\nUnlimited PTO\nCompany holidays on the first Friday of every month (Except November, December. & January)\nThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $160K-200K per year. This range reflects the compensation Skylight reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position at the time of posting.
