You will be required to work from the Warminster site five days per week. This is not a hybrid or remote role, and we cannot accommodate candidates who are only able to attend the site for part of the working week.\nSecurity Clearance (SC) is a mandatory requirement for this role. To be considered, you must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. If you do not meet this residency requirement, we will not be able to progress your application.\nPlease only apply if you meet both of these requirements: five days per week onsite in Warminster, Wiltshire, and five years’ UK residency for SC clearance.\nWhat You’ll Be Responsible For:\nDeploy and configure systems on MODCloud / D2S / OpenShift\n\nManage Kubernetes environments, networking and connectivity, as well as security-aligned configurations.\n\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and environment configurations to ensure repeatable and reliable deployments.\n\nSupport running systems by monitoring health, diagnosing platform and infrastructure issues and resolving deployment failures.\n\nWork closely with integration engineers, customers and modelling engineers.\n\nSupport and maintain existing simulation and training systems, as well as existing deployment and virtualisation tools.\n\nApply SRE practices to improve system reliability, including observability (metrics, logs, tracing), incident response, and root cause analysis.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For:\nThis is not a pure cloud or greenfield platform role. You will be working across cloud-native services, legacy systems, and integrated simulation environments, ensuring they operate reliably as a single platform.\nStrong systems and infrastructure mindset\nComfortable working across modern and legacy environments\nCalm under pressure during outages or failures\n\nPragmatic and delivery-focused, with a bias toward keeping systems running.\n\nStrong collaborator across engineering disciplines\n\nAdopts an SRE mindset, focusing on reliability, observability, and continuous improvement of running systems.\n\nKey Technical Proficiencies:\nExpert working knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Teraform, Ansible, and Docker.\n\nUnderstanding of Distributed Systems in production.\n\nExperience working within constrained or regulated environments (e.g. MODCloud, D2S, OpenShift) and adapting to their tooling and limitations.\n\nExperience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with automated deployment workflows.\n\nFamiliarity with GitOps approaches and tools such as ArgoCD.\n\nStrong understanding of Network fundamentals, Zero Trust solutions, service to service communications and distributed system connectivity.\n\nAbility to diagnose issues across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.\n\nExperience supporting or integrating legacy and non-cloud-native systems alongside modern infrastructure.\n\nExperience in developing with Go or Python as well as shell scripting.\n\nExperience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices such as monitoring, alerting, incident response, and service reliability
