We are seeking a self-starter who can drive their own work while keeping cross-functional teams and executives in the loop. You bring deep expertise in human factors as it applies to physical vehicle packaging and design, and ideally some mechanical engineering experience designing and integrating components.\nThis is a full time opportunity based in El Segundo, CA. \nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelop vehicle occupant packages based off of existing vehicles (helicopters and fixed wing).\nPerform testing and analysis related to human factors supporting everything from physical cockpit layout to the UI/UX.\nGenerate and release documentation, including test plans and test reports in support of FAA Certification.\nBuild seating bucks, simulators and other properties with the team.\nCreating and modifying engineering CAD and drawings for parts and assemblies and creating tooling to aid with manufacturing.\nLeverage your creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills to push the boundaries of design and innovation in aviation.\nWork cross-functionally with other Skyryse teams to accomplish project goals, including design, engineering, and marketing.\nOccasionally participate in design efforts outside of your area of expertise as necessary and as your skillset dictates.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Human Factors Engineer and/or Psychology.\nA combined 5+ years of experience working with vehicle engineering with human factors, vehicle packaging and/or mechanical engineering.\nProven ability to use Solidworks and/or CATIA with experience with Digital Human Models (Example: RAMSIS).\nMust be self-motivated and able to manage multiple parallel-path projects.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience working cross-functionally at a startup.\nProficiency with Figma, RAMSIS, and/or JIRA.\nFamiliarity with FAA regulation and procedures relating to Part 25 and Part 27.\nExperience talking with customers and/or users. \nDemonstrated analytical thinking - using logic and reason.\nDemonstrated conceptual thinking - creative and strategic.\nWide interest/knowledge of creative industry.\nAbility to comprehend aviation experiential technology and its foray into general consumer electronics.\nWHY SKYRYSE?\nThe opportunity to change the world through improving aviation safety and accessibility. \nSalary: $100,000 - $180,000\nValuable stock option plan.\nHeavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plans.\nFull-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually.
