The VP, Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and effective execution of our production processes, meeting quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. \nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperations Management:Direct and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.\nDrive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.\nImplement best practices in lean manufacturing and operational excellence to streamline workflows and maximize resource utilization.\n\nSupply Chain Management Leadership:Direct strategic sourcing strategies to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain.\nOversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.\nMonitor supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize efficiency and minimize risk.\n\nProduction Planning and Execution:Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.\nMonitor production progress and performance indicators to identify bottlenecks and proactively address production challenges.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products while meeting quality and cost targets.\n\nFacilities, IT & Program Management:Own facilities, site strategy, and capital spend, from space planning and maintenance to buildouts that scale with production.\nLead program management, delivering on schedule and on budget with clear cross-functional accountability.\nDirect IT strategy and infrastructure, including ERP/MRP and business systems, end-user support, and data security.\n\nTeam Leadership & Compliance:Lead and develop the production organization, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nEnsure compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements and industry standards.\nChampion programs that improve employee safety, well-being, and job satisfaction.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.\n10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management, including 5+ years at the director level or above.\nAerospace, Automotive, or similar industry experience in a technical field, with working knowledge of relevant processes, materials, and technologies.\nStrong strategic planning and decision-making skills, with a demonstrated record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build durable relationships across internal teams, customers, and suppliers.\nProven ability to lead and inspire teams toward ambitious goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \nAdvanced degree (MBA, or MS in engineering or a related field).\nLean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement credentials.\nExperience in a startup or high-growth entrepreneurial environment.\nExperience with fixed-base operations (FBO) or MRO environments.\nHands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting.\nWHY SKYRYSE?\nThe opportunity to change the world through improving aviation safety and accessibility \nSalary: $200K - $280K\nValuable stock option plan\nHeavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plans\nFull-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually.
