The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them.\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support Wraps Facility operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving vinyl wrap equipment including printers, laminators, cutters as well as other repairs or maintenance at the facility and its equipment. This role ensures maximum uptime of production equipment while implementing upgrades, running changes, and continuous improvements across various wrap production equipment and fulfillment center equipment.\nWHAT YOU GET TO DO\nPerform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on printers, laminators, industrial cut tables, work stations, and other material handling equipment.\nDiagnose mechanical issues in printers, laminators, industrial cut tables, work stations, and other material handling equipment using diagrams, precision instruments, and diagnostic methods.\nDismantle, repair, and replace defective parts using needed tools and equipment\nSupport equipment upgrades, running changes, and system updates with minimal disruption to production.\nInstall and align new machinery and equipment using various tools and working with suppliers to ensure proper repair process.\nConduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures, throughput losses, and quality issues; drive corrective actions.\nPartner with maintenance and operations teams to develop documentation, training, and preventive maintenance plans.\nApply national mechanical safety standards and ensure compliance with guarding, interlocks, and mechanical safety devices.\nIndependently execute preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment\nPerform functional checks, moderate to advanced troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis on equipment\nIdentify, procure and maintain an inventory of single point failure critical spare parts\nTroubleshoot moderate to advanced complexity mechanical and electrical issues without established procedures, job plans and safety documents\nHelp create comprehensive equipment maintenance procedures, job plans and safety documents\nIdentify electrical and other utility requirements dictated by equipment manufacturer\nReview dashboards, complete assigned work orders, help create daily work plans and provide detailed updates to a wide audience\nCoordinate with vendors and partner teams as maintenance operations contact\nSupport shop housekeeping, 5S, and safety compliance; maintain a clean and organized work environment.\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM\nEducation:\nKnowledge of basic computer business applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3+ years electrical, mechanical and/or HVAC experience in critical infrastructure - or technical school certification equivalent and 1+ years of equivalent experience\nTechnical Skills:\nApplied competency with hand, diagnostic and precision measuring tools\nHigh attention to detail while maintaining impeccable quality standards\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems\nTroubleshooting experience using procedures, technical documentation, and drawings\nDemonstrated capability reading and interpreting technical prints and schematics\nHelp create comprehensive equipment maintenance procedures, job plans and safety documents\nProficiency in mechanical assembly/repair of motors, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.\nAbility to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.\nPartner cross functionally with operations, safety, facilites and vendors to accomplish a given task\nWHY JOIN TEAM SLATE?\nAt Slate, we’re fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
