QA Engineers employ different testing strategies to ensure systems are solid and ready for real-world scale. You must be able to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment where your contributions have a direct impact on the company’s direction and success and should not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.\nWhat you get to do:\nBe responsible for manual and automated testing of features across various platforms, including web and mobile.\nDevelop, improve, and employ testing strategies and techniques.\nUtilize black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques.\nTest code and systems using manual and automated tools.\nWrite automated tests and user-level test automation tools.\nCreate, maintain, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to complement existing QAE skillsets \nCollaborate with Software Development Engineers to understand product features and technical implementations.\nWork with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models.\nDevelop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments.\nFind, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution. \nCreate and maintain regression tests.\nDrive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.\nWhat you bring to the team:\nBachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.\n7+ years of professional experience in software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering.\n5+ years of professional experience in delivering test frameworks, test tools, and leading QA projects and initiatives. \nDemonstrated knowledge of QA methodology and tools.\nExperience in manual and automated testing.\nExperience in scripting or coding.\nExperience with at least one automated test framework like Playwright/Cypress/TestCafe (web) and/or Selenium/Appium/WebdriverIO (mobile).\nExperience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality.\nProven understanding of software internals and an ability to debug problems using log files.\nExperience using AI tools to help complete tasks\nWORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENT\n Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.\nSALARY RANGE\nThe compensation for this position is the range Slate reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; work location; and other relevant business and organizational factors.\n$123,339.00 - $185,009.00 USD Annual\nAdditional Compensation and Benefits: Slate offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
