Cleaner/ Lead Cleaner

Slate is a leading commercial cleaning company delivering tech-enabled, quality-controlled janitorial services to business clients nationwide. We are seeking dedicated Cleaners to join our team for the Rockefeller Project in New York, NY. As part of our on-site team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and their employees.

As a Cleaner at Slate, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout assigned business facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact the satisfaction of our clients and the reputation of our services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform general commercial cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles, remove waste, and replace liners.
• Restock paper goods and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Follow site-specific cleaning checklists and report any maintenance issues or supply shortages.

This is a part-time, on-site position with multiple shifts available (10:00 AM-4:00 PM and 4:00-9:00 PM). The onboarding date is June 8th, with the project starting on June 10th.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience performing general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restocking supplies
• Physically able to stand, bend, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Authorized to work in the United States
• At least 18 years old
• Available to onboard on June 8th and start the project on June 10th
• Available to work either the 10:00 AM-4:00 PM or 4:00-9:00 PM shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior commercial cleaning (janitorial) experience in business facilities
• Experience following documented cleaning checklists or standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Bilingual and able to communicate in two languages in a work setting
