The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them.\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nOur team is adding a Finance Analyst of Product Development FP&A, who will be responsible for collaborating with the product development teams to launch our new products. As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our company’s financial decision-making process through budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly product development, to drive financial insights, performance management, and long-term planning.\nWHAT YOU GET TO DO\nLead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the product development (PD) team, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and financial goals.\nPerform detailed financial analysis on actual vs. budget/forecast results, identify key variances, and communicate insights to senior management.\nAct as a cross-functional business partner, providing support with financial analysis, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.\nSupport long-term strategic planning and scenario analysis to ensure the company meets its financial objectives.\nTrack and manage costs associated with product development, including materials and capital investment and provide recommendations for cost optimization and target achievement.\nPrepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for leadership to support strategic decision-making.\ndentify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.\n3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar roles, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industries.\nStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools; experience with financial software (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite) is a plus.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and manage multiple priorities.\nStrong analytical thinking and attention to detail\nWHY JOIN TEAM SLATE?\nAt Slate, we’re fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
