This role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and safety within the production line.\n* Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, Indiana. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.\n| WHAT YOU GET TO DO:\nProcess Design and Optimization\nDevelop and implement systems and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the coating and bonding process.\nDesign, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes to enhance production rates and quality.\nConduct process simulations and risk assessments to identify potential improvements.\nQuality Control\nEstablish and maintain quality standards for the coating and bonding process.\nMonitor and analyze process performance to ensure compliance with quality specifications.\nImplement best practices and innovative solutions to improve product reliability.\nTechnical Support\nProvide technical support and training to staff and junior engineers.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to the coating and bonding process.\nCollaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes.\nSafety and Compliance\nEnsure all processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations.\nDevelop safety procedures for individuals working with equipment and materials in the coating and bonding line.\nDocument all created processes and update these documents as changes occur.\nPrepare and present regular reports on process performance and improvements to senior management.\n| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.\n4+ years of experience in Process Engineering for Coating or Bonding, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.\n2+ years of experience in Fanuc closure (ie., hood, doors and tailgate) cell automation.\nPrefer some experience in PTED (Pre-Treat Electro-Deposition) and/or Bonding (Metal to Plastic)\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\n| PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMust have the ability to travel (up to 10%).\nMust have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.\nMust have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods\nWHY JOIN TEAM SLATE?\nAt Slate, we’re fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
