This position will be responsible for completing several corporate accounting activities for our company.\nWHAT YOU GET TO DO\nWork closely with stakeholders to complete the accounting activities for our company on an ongoing basis.\n\nPrepare and Maintain Financial Records - Record journal entries, conduct financial analyses, and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.\n\nSupport Month-End and Year-End Close - Assist in the monthly close process, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis.\n\nGenerate Financial Reports - Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reports to support business decision-making.\n\nFacilitate Audit and Compliance Efforts - Support the annual audit process by ensuring proper documentation, adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with internal controls.\n\nContribute to ERP Implementation - Actively participate in ERP system planning, implementation, and optimization to enhance financial operations.\n\nDevelop and Maintain Standard Procedures - Prepare and utilize detailed work instructions for recurring accounting tasks to ensure consistency and efficiency.\n\nCollaborate on Budgeting & Forecasting - Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.\n\nEnsure Strong Internal Controls - Maintain compliance with internal control procedures and segregation of duties to safeguard financial integrity.\n\nSupport Public Company Readiness - Assist in implementing the necessary financial systems and controls required for public company reporting.\n\nDrive Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and speed in financial processes.\n\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM\nProven experience in managing accounting operations within a manufacturing environment.\n\nSkilled in preparing accurate financial statements and comprehensive reports.\n\nExpertise in implementing and optimizing accounting procedures to enhance efficiency.\n\nTake ownership of their work with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.\n\nEffective and thoughtful communicator with a clear alignment to the company’s mission and values.\n\nStrong analytical skills and sound judgment in financial decision-making.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nEstablished commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.\n\n5 years plus relevant experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license preferred.\n\nWHY JOIN TEAM SLATE?\nAt Slate, we’re fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
