The position is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet or exceed quality standards as well as all safety and environmental requirements are met. This position will be in Quality Control and will collaborate with the Production team as needed.\n| WHAT YOU GET TO DO\nKnowledge of QC related work instructions, procedures, and calibration/verification requirements of QC equipment.\n\nPerform inspections and tests on incoming materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.\n\nUtilize various measurement tools and equipment, such as hard gages, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, hardness testers, and CMM’s to conduct efficient and accurate part measurement.\n\nAssist in the validation and verification of new product designs and manufacturing processes.\n\nWhether assigned or self-chosen, utilize existing problem-solving skills perpetually in contribution towards continuous improvement efforts in our manufacturing and assembly areas.\n\nPerform detailed process audits and drive targeted improvement actions through coaching of others or direct ownership of the resolution.\n\nProvide technical support to engineering and production teams to ensure compliance to quality standards.\n\nMaintain accurate and timely data and other records for work performed.\n\nWhere skill gaps exist, learn through training or OJT, processes such as calibration, CMM programming, and quality system auditing.\n\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\n| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM\n1+ years of experience as a Quality Technician in a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive BIW preferred).\n\nProficiency using a wide range of measurement tools.\n\nAbility to interpret part drawings, material, and engineering specifications.\n\nA strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.\n\nFamiliarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO16949, ISO31000)\n\nWorks well independently and with others.\n\nGood communication skills.\n\nOrganized with attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment\n\nWHY JOIN TEAM SLATE?\nAt Slate, we’re fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
