This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of approximately 25 production employees in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment. The Supervisor ensures safe operations, drives a culture of continuous improvement, and supports quality and production efficiency objectives. This role is critical in fostering a safe, productive, and engaged workforce that delivers world-class data center infrastructure solutions.\nThis position is based on site in Calgary, Alberta.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nChampion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. \nConduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks, and proactively address hazards, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. \nLead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future risk. \nEnsure employees are appropriately trained, qualified, and equipped to perform their work safely.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee engagement, innovation, and problem-solving. \nParticipate in and lead Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and other Lean Manufacturing activities. \nIdentify and eliminate waste in processes, material flow, and operational practices to improve efficiency and productivity. \nSupport the implementation of standardized work, visual management systems, and process documentation.\nPlan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. \nMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, output, yield, cycle time, and on-time delivery. \nOptimize the utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime. \nTroubleshoot production bottlenecks and operational issues, escalating concerns as required to ensure timely resolution. \nCapture all identified non-conformances within the business management system and partner with Manufacturing Engineering to drive corrective actions and close-out activities.\nEnsure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, customer specifications, and company procedures. \nSupport root cause investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for quality-related issues. \nCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to drive process improvements and reduce defects. \nPromote a \"Right First Time\" culture throughout the production team.\nSupervise, coach, and develop production employees to promote high performance, accountability, and engagement. \nConduct performance reviews, regular one-on-one meetings, and team communications to support employee development. \nManage employee attendance, approve timecards, and address employee relations matters in accordance with company policies and procedures. \nSupport onboarding, training, and cross-training initiatives to build workforce flexibility and capability. \nFoster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.\nServe as the primary point of contact between production employees and management. \nCommunicate daily priorities, operational updates, and organizational changes effectively and consistently. \nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure operational success and continuous improvement.\nQualifications & Experience\nMinimum two-year post-secondary diploma or Journeyman trade certification in a relevant discipline. \nMinimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or frontline leadership role within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment. \nDemonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment. \nStrong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices, quality systems, and Lean manufacturing principles. \nProven ability to coordinate production activities, manage priorities, and achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. \nExperience with workforce planning, employee performance management, training, and coaching is considered an asset. \nFlexibility to support shift work and overtime as required to meet production demands.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop employees at all levels of the organization. \nDemonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and standardized work. \nExcellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities. \nExperience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. \nAbility to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and technical drawings. \nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
