This role is responsible for developing optimized drilling and well construction designs, providing technical support during operations, and driving continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices. The Drilling Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage operational risks, optimize resource utilization and Cost of Service Delivery (COSD), and ensure successful project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and optimize technical well construction designs and programs to support safe and efficient service delivery.\n\nIdentify and implement innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions to enhance operational performance.\n\nEvaluate opportunities for value-added technologies, products, and services that improve customer results.\n\nProvide technical expertise and support throughout the planning, execution, and post-job phases.\n\nCommunicate technical recommendations, interpretations, and technology benefits to internal and external stakeholders.\n\nCollaborate with subject matter experts to ensure optimal engineering design and risk mitigation.\n\nSupport operational teams during execution by managing design revisions resulting from changing well conditions, resource availability, or operational requirements.\n\nParticipate in incident response, investigation, and root cause analysis activities, contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement.\n\nWork across multiple business lines to develop integrated and optimized well construction solutions.\n\nSupport commercial and sales teams by evaluating technical feasibility, preparing tenders, and providing engineering input during customer engagements.\n\nAnalyze operational performance against design objectives and capture lessons learned, best practices, and optimization opportunities.\n\nMonitor and manage the Cost of Service Delivery (COSD) through efficient resource planning and utilization.\n\nExperience & Exposures\nBachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n\nMinimum of 5 years of drilling engineering experience within the oilfield services or energy industry.\n\nStrong understanding of well construction processes, drilling operations, and engineering design principles.\n\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.\n\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.\n\nSLB is an equal opportunity employer.
