In this role, you will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electronic equipment used in Measurement While Drilling (MWD) and Logging While Drilling (LWD) tools, helping ensure equipment is ready to meet operational demands.\nWe are looking for someone with a strong electronics background who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem solving, and learning in a fast-paced shop environment. This role provides an opportunity to develop practical experience working with specialized downhole tools and equipment while supporting equipment reliability and quality.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nPerform maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electronic components and assemblies used in MWD and LWD tools.\nDiagnose electronic equipment issues and identify appropriate repairs or corrective actions.\nPerform electronic testing, calibration, soldering, and component-level repair as required.\nUse electronic test equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.\nInspect and test equipment to help ensure it meets operational and quality requirements before returning to service.\nParticipate in equipment failure investigations and support troubleshooting activities.\nWork closely with other technicians and the maintenance team to support equipment readiness and efficient shop operations.\nSupport casing magnetization activities at the Nisku facility, leveraging technical expertise to assist with process execution, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization efforts, including periodic travel as required.\nQualifications and Experience\nDiploma or degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or a related technical field.\nHands-on experience with electronic troubleshooting, soldering, testing, and repair is considered an asset.\nAbility to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and technical documentation.\nStrong mechanical and electronic aptitude with good analytical and problem-solving skills.\nPrevious exposure to MWD, LWD, downhole tools, or oilfield equipment is considered an asset.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.\nMust be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.\nSchlumberger Canada Limited is committed to workplace diversity and employment equity and supports initiatives to enhance employment opportunities for local workforces and Indigenous Persons.\nCome join SLB and be part of one of the world's most diverse and inclusive groups of industry experts.
