The engineer will work on new software features, product enhancements, and testing activities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable and field-ready solutions for harsh operating environments.\nTypical Responsibilities and Duties:\nDevelop and maintain embedded software using C/C++\n\nDesign, implement, test, and debug software for embedded systems\n\nSupport system integration, verification, and validation activities\n\nCreate and maintain functional and technical documentation\n\nTroubleshoot software and hardware issues using debugging and diagnostic tools\n\nParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem solving\n\nMaintain accurate work tracking, prioritize development tasks, and support Agile software development practices\n\nWork closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nBachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Embedded Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computing & Electronics Engineering, or a related field (recent graduate with less than 2 years of experience)\n\nExperience programming in C/C++ for embedded systems\n\nFamiliarity with hardware and software debugging tools, emulators, simulators, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers\n\nExperience using version control systems such as Git/GitHub\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nEffective communication and teamwork abilities\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with unit testing methodologies\n\nExperience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or OpenRTOS\n\nExperience with ARM Cortex-M processors\n\nExperience with National Instruments hardware and software tools\n\nExperience in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog\n\nUnderstanding of electrical schematics\n\nCareer Advancement:\nSLB Eureka Technical Career (SETC) provides proven technical contributors with a career path that offers them recognition, reward, and influence that parallels an equivalent management progression.
