Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase.\nRaise clarifications and deviations not in line with Company standards.\nReview topographical survey map, soil investigation reports and extraction of required design inputs if available.\nPrepare Technical Requisition of these studies during project execution.\nFollow up with Vendors.\nCreate or review the civil and structural design basis and project specifications.\nPrepare the civil and structural MTOs during proposals and project execution.\nProactively work to reduce structural weight as required when the project execution Not-To-Exceed weight is threatened.\nSupport construction team in preparing technical bid analysis of construction companies.\nAdvise and assist Construction Managers, QA/QC, and Subcontractors with the interpretation and clarification of construction documents.\nPrepare technical requisition and technical bid analysis for structural fabrication.\nPerform civil & structural analysis using SACS and STAAD software including Inplace, Loadout, Lift, Transportation, Blast, Fatigue, and Redundancy.\nGood knowledge of commercial engineering design programs such as MAT 3D and Foundation 3D.\nPerform calculations, design reports and inputs for drawings preparation.\nPerform or check “hand calculations” for structural connections, pad eyes, stiffeners, and other “local” steel designs and also having knowledge in connection Softwares such as RAM connection, IDEA Statica.\nDefine materials for civil and structural works.\nDefine fireproofing when needed.\nDefine painting and coating schemes for structural works.\nPerform Static & dynamic analysis for equipment foundation design.\nPlay an integral role in determining and reporting project weight control data.\nThis includes liaising with the Weight Control Engineer and various disciplines for weight and CoG input.\nProvide inputs to other disciplines during project execution.\nParticipate in engineering meetings.\nResponsible to deliver civil & structural engineering documents as per project schedule.\nProvide engineering hours estimate during proposals for its discipline.\nParticipate in 3D model interdisciplinary reviews and resolve the clashes in its discipline.\nReview, comment, and approve the outsourced civil & structural engineering design deliverables.\nEnsure most updated vendors’ documentation is being used for developing these deliverables.\nMaintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance to applicable codes and standards.\nYears of experience required: 0-14 years\nSLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
