We want to ensure that everyone feels a sense of belonging here and we encourage, enable, and empower our people to foster inclusivity, build trust, and demonstrate respect for across the organization.\nGlobal in outlook, local in practice - and with a united, shared passion for discovering solutions, we hire talented, driven people and support them to succeed, personally and professionally.\nGeosolutions Geophysicist\nThe Geosolutions Geophysicist is responsible for applying expertise in various geophysical acquisition and processing techniques, as well as a strong understanding of interpretation and inversion.\nResponsibilities\nInterface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters.\n\nProcess data using the appropriate technology and software.\n\nEnsure that processed data is delivered to customers on schedule.\n\nDefine, build and submit test jobs, interpret test results, provide recommendations on parameters and recommend further testing, if required.\n\nValidate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.\n\nKeep abreast of developments within seismic data processing as well as communication and data transfer techniques.\n\nInvestigate and report on problems encountered during seismic data processing.\n\nAssist the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management, including velocity picking and quality control.\n\nForecast resource requirements and report project status.\n\nExperiences and Exposures\nBachelor’s degree minimum of Second Class Upper (2’1) in Geoscience, Geophysics, or a related field of study.\n\nRecent graduate with 0- 2 years post-graduation experience as Geophysicist or in other related fields.\n\nBasic understanding of signal processing, pre-processing, velocity Model Building, Depth Imaging skillsets.\n\nWillingness to learn, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a high level of adaptability and collaboration.\n\nMust have completed NYSC.\n\nLocation: Port Harcourt, Nigeria\nSLB is an equal opportunity employer.
