This role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, enhancing maintenance process efficiency, and reducing COSD (Cost of Service Delivery) within the GeoUnit and/or location. The Maintenance Engineer will develop and implement initiatives to improve asset utilization, support failure investigations, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop initiatives and improvement plans to enhance asset utilization, reliability, and COSD within the location or GeoUnit\n\nIdentify, implement, and drive continuous improvement (CI) efforts to reduce asset downtime, waiting times, and work-in-process\n\nIdentify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects related to rework/reuse of parts, service level kits, and equipment design improvements\n\nSupport and participate in failure investigations to identify and eliminate root causes, in collaboration with the reliability, sustaining, and engineering teams\n\nImplement RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) to improve the quality and frequency of maintenance tasks and service levels\n\nIdentify, implement, and drive projects to improve COSD within the GeoUnit and/or location\n\nParticipate in periodic technical audits and CAT compliance assessments, following up on maintenance-related remedial action plan closures\n\nWhat We Offer\nHands-on experience in maintenance engineering and reliability improvement\n\nExposure to real-world operational challenges and failure investigations\n\nOpportunities to lead continuous improvement projects and drive process efficiency\n\nCareer development opportunities within maintenance and engineering roles\n\nA collaborative and safety-focused work environment\n\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)\n\nExperience or strong exposure to maintenance engineering and reliability improvement\n\nGood understanding of maintenance processes, failure analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills\n\nAbility to work collaboratively in field-based operational environments\n\nSLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
