The role focuses on developing and delivering optimized technical job designs, providing real-time operational support, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across Product Lines. The Senior Production Engineer is also responsible for cost optimization through COSD (Cost of Service Delivery) and applying lessons learned to improve future job designs.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and deliver optimized technical job designs for assigned Product Lines\n\nEnsure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery in support of PSD operations\n\nIdentify and implement innovative and cost-effective techniques to improve performance\n\nExplore opportunities for value-added products and services\n\nProvide technical support throughout the service delivery lifecycle, including real-time operational support\n\nCommunicate the value of technologies and technical interpretations to customers and internal stakeholders\n\nCollaborate with subject matter experts to optimize technical designs and mitigate operational risks\n\nSupport OU PSD and/or PSD Managers during the execution phase, adapting designs to changes in job parameters, resource availability, or service quality incidents\n\nAssist in incident response, recovery, and investigation, ensuring lessons learned are captured and applied\n\nSupport multiple Product Line operations through collaborative and optimized job designs\n\nAssist Sales and Commercial teams in evaluating technical feasibility and tender submissions\n\nAnalyze job execution versus design and formally document lessons learned, best practices, and optimization opportunities\n\nContribute to COSD management and resource optimization\n\nWhat We Offer\nSenior technical role with direct impact on production performance and service quality\n\nExposure to complex and challenging operations in Libya\n\nOpportunities for professional growth and technical leadership development\n\nSafety-focused, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment\n\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline\n\nMid-career experience in production engineering, service delivery, or oilfield operations\n\nStrong knowledge of technical job design, risk management, and operational execution\n\nProven ability to support field operations and real-time decision-making\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\n\nAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, field-oriented environment in Libya\n\nSLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
