We work on applied research projects in the physical sciences to meet the current and future challenges of the industry.\nDescription & Scope:\n You will join the Electrochemical technologies programme at SLB Cambridge Research and be involved in projects spanning a range of fields around sustainable water management, including: sensing & measurement, electrochemical reactors, interfacial science, membrane technology and materials chemistry. Expect to learn how to use new analytical techniques, to grow your communication skills in an industrial research environment, to learn about creating new and supporting existing technologies, to see what industrial research really is. Candidates should be detail oriented, enjoy taking on new challenges and have solid English writing skills.\nResponsibilities:\nThe core responsibilities of the role are in experimental science, professionally applied to real-world challenges; you will be hands-on and working alongside career scientists as well as a cohort of interns from across the UK.\nResponsiblities will include:\nSample preparation and measurement with analytical chemical techniques (e.g. NMR, ICP, SEM, XPS ...)\n\nData collection, processing and interpretation\n\nExperimental execution / development / debugging\n\nReporting and presentation of results\n\nQualifications :\nStudying Bachelors in Chemistry or a related discipline\n\nChemical handling and laboratory experience.\n\nBasic data and analysis.\n\nSLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
