The role requires strong well engineering expertise, operational knowledge, and the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement technologies and practices that improve drilling performance, safety, efficiency, and well delivery outcomes.\nThe Senior Well Engineer serves as a key technical resource supporting well planning, operational performance analysis, technology deployment, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration between multidisciplinary teams throughout the well construction lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nWell Engineering & Planning\nSupport well design, planning, and execution activities for drilling and well construction operations.\nParticipate in risk assessments, technical reviews, and operational readiness activities.\nEnsure application of engineering standards, best practices, and lessons learned throughout project execution.\nDrilling Performance & Continuous Improvement\nAnalyze drilling performance data to identify trends, recurring challenges, and improvement opportunities.\nLead or participate in flat-time reduction and drilling efficiency initiatives.\nMonitor well delivery performance against technical and operational objectives.\nSupport benchmarking and performance reviews across wells, rigs, and campaigns.\nDevelop recommendations to improve operational efficiency and well construction performance.\nIdentify opportunities to improve drilling efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operational performance.\nTechnology Evaluation & Implementation\nIdentify and evaluate emerging drilling, completions, and well construction technologies.\nDevelop technical recommendations in supporting technology adoption.\nCollaborate with technical specialists, service providers, and operational teams to transition technologies from concept to field deployment.\nEngineering Studies & Problem Solving\nLead engineering studies to resolve drilling and well construction challenges.\nConduct root cause investigations and develop corrective action recommendations.\nSupport analysis of wellbore stability, lost circulation, drilling dysfunctions, equipment performance, cementing challenges, and other operational issues.\nCapture and communicate lessons learned to support continuous improvement.\nDegree in Engineering.\n5+ years’ experience in drilling and well construction engineering.\n Offshore drilling experience\nStrong understanding of well design, drilling operations, well delivery processes, and performance optimization.\nDemonstrated experience evaluating and implementing new technologies.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work effectively with operators, drilling contractors, and service providers.\nProven ability to identify opportunities, drive technical improvements, and deliver operational value.\nMust have the legal right to work in Canada without visa sopnsorship.\nBy applying for this position, I hereby expressly acknowledge and consent to the following:\nI consent to the collection, storage, transfer and processing of personal data strictly in relation with and for the purpose of the recruitment procedure and onboarding (if applicable).
