Experience working with school-aged children, middle school age teens, and/or other related experience is preferred.\nAbout the Team:\nWe are hiring staff to work at allYouthCity locations. Teams of Instructors report to a full-time Senior Community Programs Manager who oversees each location.\nWork Schedule:\nThis position will work 25 hours a week. During the school year, the work hours are Monday - Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Friday from Noon - 6:00 p.m. During the Summer Program, this position will work5 hourblocks Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. depending on program necessity.\nPosition Wage: $19.00/hr.\nIMPORTANT: Early application submittal is encouraged. This position will remain open until filled and may close at any time without notice.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSafely transportsyouth to various program activities within theCity.\n\nProvide supervision toyouthengaged in program activities.\n\nMaintain attendance records as required by program.\n\nAssistwith program’s grant required assessments to ensure program quality metrics are met.\n\nDevelop and plan weekly activities based on learningobjectivesas outlined byYouthCityprograms. Teach group activities to youth. Participate in all activities with children.\n\nFollow program procedures to safeguard health, safety, and well-being of participants.\n\nPrepare, clean up, andmaintainfacility daily.\n\nAssistin providing daily snacks.\n\nAttend weekly staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Participate in one-on-one professional development meetings with Senior Community Program Managers. Provide a safe/healthy environment for program participants. Maintains and inspects city vehicles according to required pre-trip inspections. Perform all other duties requested.\n\nReport daily to Senior Community Programs Manager\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School graduate or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.\n\nExperience in working with school-aged children, middle schoolyouth, and/or other related experience.\n\nPossession of valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 3 months of employment.\n\nAbility todemonstrategroup management skills and techniques.\n\nAbility to work with a diverse population - including both youth and adults.\n\nAbility to resolve conflict situations.\n\nAbility to deal with both youth and adults in a non-judgmental atmosphere.\n\nStrong communications skills with the ability to communicate with individuals from different social and ethnic backgrounds.\n\nDesired Skill:\nBilingual preferred.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nModerate physical activity. Required to push, pull, or lift medium weights. Uncomfortable working positions such as stooping, crouching, and bending.
