If you are looking for a lasting career at a stable, family-owned and operated company with an opportunity for growth in meat production and sausage making, then apply now!\nReports To: Sausage Manager (Direct) & Plant Manager (Indirect)\nLocation: Minnesota Meat Masters - Annandale, MN\nClassification: Full Time Local 663 MMM Sausage\nPay Range: $21.85 - $28.30 / hour + lead premium ($1.50/hour), based on experience\nJerry’s has a rich benefit plan including:\nHealth / Vision / Dental Insurance\nPaid Time Off\n401K\nEmployee Assistance Programs\nWhat You’ll Do:\nMachine set-up and operation\nPackage a variety of sausage products using high tech equipment\nWarehousing (preparing finished product and documents for shipment)\nPlant Sanitation, equipment wash down\nQuality check products for defects (irregular sausages, sausages with defects)\nRecord production information on proper forms.\nPerform quality checks (i.e., date & label checks).\nRotate through various positions on the production line.\nFollow production guidelines of food safety.\nWork on a team in a fast-paced production environment and exhibit a sense of urgency while maintaining excellent productivity goals and quality product.\nAssist the facility manager in keeping processes moving, following food safety plans and meeting customer quality requirements.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n1-2 years of production environment experience, preferred\n1-2 years of grocery experience, preferred\nMust be at least 18 years or older\nAbility to understand written or spoken English instructions\nAbility to work with pork\nAbility to work individually and as a member of a team\nOrganization and time management skills required\nFuture Opportunities\nThe opportunity to learn sausage making and meat processing, including operating state-of-the-art high-tech sausage stuffers, smoke houses and packaging equipment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMajority of the work is performed in the processing rooms with temperatures ranging from 42°F to 55°F. \nIncumbent may stand and walk for long periods of time on cement - up to 95% of the shift. \nIncumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment over the course of a normal workday - up to 15% of the shift. \nStooping, bending, twisting, lifting and reaching may be required in completion of the job duties - lifting as heavy as 50 lbs repeatedly. \nENVIRONMENTAL:\nMajority of the work is performed in the processing rooms with temperatures ranging from 42°F to 55°F. \nFREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.\nOCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift.\nFREQUENT:\nPhysical\nLifting , Standing, Bending, Grabbing and Rotating\nMental\nCounting, Adding, Subtracting, Writing, Reviewing Files, Computer Work\nOCCASIONAL:\nPhysical\nClimbing Stairs and Kneeling\nPosition functions and physical requirements may vary by location.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
