Backed by world-class investors, we are on track to be one of the few cash flow positive, tech-enabled unicorns based out of Asia Pacific.\nRequirements\nMission of the role\nTo deliver accurate, timely, and compliant bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of UK clients (VAT and non-VAT). Reporting to the Senior Accountant feeding into the Accounts Manager, this role ensures all financial records are consistently up-to-date, hitting critical deadlines while providing high-quality support to the wider accounting team.\nKey outcomes in the first 6-12 months\nOutcome 1: Maintain Flawless Xero Records - Ensure all client transactions are fully recorded, allocated, and perfectly reconciled in Xero within target deadlines.\nOutcome 2: Build Client Relationships - Establish strong, trusting relationships with your client portfolio, ensuring smooth communication and the timely collection of required financial documents.\nOutcome 3: Support the Accounts Team - Seamlessly integrate with the UK team, reliably assisting the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager to ensure all departmental targets and statutory deadlines are met.\nOutcome 4: Drive Bookkeeping Efficiency - Identify process bottlenecks and proactively implement smarter ways of working to increase efficiency and speed across your portfolio's bookkeeping workflows.\nMust-have experience\nUK Tax & Compliance: Proven track record handling both VAT returns and non-VAT registered clients.\nMulti-Industry Exposure: Broad bookkeeping experience across a wide variety of business sectors.\n E-commerce Expertise: Specific, demonstrable experience managing the complexities of e-commerce bookkeeping (e.g., handling payment gateways, multi-channel sales, inventory).\n Language Proficiency: Exceptional, grammatically correct written and spoken English (essential for an overseas hire managing direct UK client communications).\nSoftware: Strong proficiency in Xero.\nMust-have attributes\nMeticulous Attention to Detail: Spots errors instantly and takes pride in 100% accurate data entry and reconciliations.\nHighly Organized & Deadline-Driven: Capable of juggling multiple clients at once without letting turnaround times slip.\nProactive & Self-Motivated: Because this is an overseas role, they must be a self-starter who doesn't need to be micro-managed to get the work done.\n Adaptable: Quick to learn and comfortable switching gears between completely different industries (e.g., jumping from an e-commerce client to a construction client).\nClear Communicator: Confident enough to ask the right questions when information is missing, and polite but firm when chasing clients for paperwork.\nBehavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates that have a proven track record of embodying the below attributes in their recent roles:\nOwnership: This shows reliability and helps build trust within the team.
